3D Resin Printer

Product Development

Over the course of five weeks, we developed a resin 3D printer as part of the Mechatronic Design course. This was one of the most engineering-intensive projects I have participated in, involving detailed analysis of mechanical movement, structural simulation (FEA), and manufacturing strategies through DFM and DFA methodologies. The design process was carried out under the guidance of our mentors, Erick Ramírez-Cedillo and Hiram Uribe Hdz.

The complete system includes over 180 custom-designed parts, all modeled and assembled using SOLIDWORKS by Dassault Systèmes. The result is a fully functional and manufacturable resin printer, with a robust mechanical structure and optimized motion system.
